I never lost motivation, finally after all these years, I feel my hard work paying off.

I have been climbing since I was around 5 or 6 years old. I started on a short climbing wall at a pool club near my house, and my love for the sport came from there. I wasn’t very good for my first couple of years, only sending the occasional soft v4, but I never stopped being motivated to succeed. I didn’t make nationals for a long time, coming one spot out of qualifying on multiple occasions. When covid hit, my dad and I built a climbing wall in our garage, and together almost every night, we would work on our weaknesses, and slowly as the gyms opened back up, I was crushing. I made Nationals for the first time in 2021, and while I didn’t do that good, the next year I was back. This time, I made my first semi-finals in lead, I didn’t expect much, but I was hyped. I made my first finals that year too. I never lost motivation, finally after all these years, I feel my hard work paying off.
